The Needles of Understanding

 (Verse 1)

Staring at you across the table, words like tangled twine

Trying to bridge this gap between us, a message hard to find

We built these walls of misunderstanding, brick by angry phrase

But under all the frustration, there's gotta be a better way

(Chorus)

Understanding, it's like threading a needle

Patience in one hand, the other gentle and steady

Finding the eye, that tiny opening to see

Through each other's hearts, where we both long to be

(Verse 2)

Your eyes hold a story, a chapter I haven't read

Maybe mine do too, filled with pages left unsaid

We point the finger, blame the other, for the distance we create

But sometimes the hardest stitch to sew, is the self-inflicted hate

(Chorus)

Understanding, it's like threading a needle

Patience in one hand, the other gentle and steady

Finding the eye, that tiny opening to see

Through each other's hearts, where we both long to be

(Bridge)

Let's unravel this mess, one knot at a time

Listen with open ears, let empathy be our guide

Because a single thread, though fragile it may seem

Can mend the broken pieces, and make a stronger seam
